# Viola hederacea - Native Violet
- Creeping mat forming habit
- Fast growing, good lawn substitute in shady moist areas
- Attractive foliage, masses of white and mauve flowers for long periods
- Good frog habitat
Recommended for our area in [[Hornsby Council Native Plant Guides]]
Common in city council stree plantings around Sydney e.g. have seen at Redfern, Parramatta, Cherrybrook.
