In tropical climates, it has been seen to flower twice a year in spring followed by autumn. Katie Belles is a larger growing plant making it ideal as a screening plant along fencelines. It is a versatile plant growing in both wet and dryer soils. > A large growing grass plant that is suited to a wide range of climates. In tropical north and south-east Queensland, it thrives in the humid summer climates and mild winters reaching its maximum height of 1.5 metres tall. In the southern states of NSW, ACT and Victoria, it will grow shorter, reaching a maximum height of approx. 1.2 metres tall. Being a larger plant is ideal for privacy screening of pools, driveways and is an excellent plant for partitioning off areas of the garden to create garden rooms. Katie Belles requires little maintenance bar for a tidy-up trim every few years to remove older foliage.
